Astologer notes

Example  March - 2016
Saturday 19th,
Tuesday 22nt and
Thursday 24th.
 UTC/GMT

According to ephemerides and astrological software, the dates 19th, 22th and 24th of March, the Moon makes a last aspect with one of the Outer Planets. Check the list above.

19  March the Moon makes the last aspect to Uranus before entering the next zodiac sign, a trine at 20.44 UTC/GMT,

22  March the Moon makes the last aspect to Pluto before entering the next zodiac sign, a trine at 03.56 UTC/GMT,

24 March, the Moon makes the last aspect to Uranus before entering the next zodiac sign, an opposition at 20.56 UTC/GMT.

For this example, we take March 22th, see charts below.

To show the void of course Moon in Solar-fire 8 (Astrological software), I opened the Horary page.

Don't worry about the rest of boxes around these charts. I will add a red arrow where to look.

Fig. 1

Arrow 1 points to date and time, 22 March 2016 - 03.52.

Arrow 2 point to the Moon, 17 degrees and 16 minutes in Virgo.

Arrow 3 points to Pluto, 17 degrees and 17 minutes in Capricorn, and thus the last aspect of the Moon will be at 03.55 ( ephemerides and astrological software) when she is 17 degrees and 17 minutes in Virgo.

In this chart is Uranus, arrow 4, positioned on a later degree of the zodiac sign it's in, 19 degrees and 23 minutes in Aries.

This is a 150 degree distends named a quincunx and is not used to determine the void of course time.

Arrow 5, in the box CONSIDERATIONS the void-of-course Moon will show up in fig 2. arrow 6.

Fig.2

Arrow 6, the box CONSIDERATION, Moon is void of course.

Arrow 7, the time is 03.56.

Arrow 8, the Moon is now 17 degrees and 18 minutes in Virgo.

Please scroll down to see what happens when Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, are taken out of the chart.

Arrow 9, the time I used for the starting moment of the traditional void of course.

To determine this moment, we look at the Planet positioned on the latest degree of the zodiac sign it’s in.

Arrow 10, Saturn at  16 degrees and  23 minutes in Sagittarius.

Arrow 11,  Jupiter at 16 degrees and 33 minutes in Virgo.

Arrow 12, Moon at 16 degrees and 33 minutes in Virgo.

Jupiter has the latest placement thus makes the last aspect with the Moon 0 degree distance, a conjunct.

In this instance, the difference in time between the modern void of course starting at 03.56, fig. 2, and the traditional void of course starting at 02.26 fig. 3,  is  90 minutes. This is no rule, the time difference can be from 1 minute up to more than a full day, depending on the position of the Planets.

Fig.4

Arrow 13, time marks 03.54, 2 minutes before the modern void-of-course, 03.56. The Moon should be void of course according to what you see, there are no aspects to be made.

Arrow 14 The Moon is 17 degrees and 17 minutes in Virgo.

Arrow 15  although the Moon is traditionally void of course it does not show in the box CONSIDERATIONS.

Arrow 16, out of the blue, the Moon becomes void of course with no reverence point to it, arrow 17, except the time, arrow18, its set to the last aspect with Pluto, see fig. 2.

Personally, I think this is an important point to consider, especially when practicing horary astrology.

It might be possible to get deep into the system software Solar-fire 8 to change the settings, for now, this way to determine the starting point for the traditional void of course Moon, works fine.
