Void of course Moon

Voc. Moon Calendar

This calendar is based on traditional Astrology specially designed for those who would like to be more conscious of the Moon's movement. The purpose of this calendar is to make business, gardening and one's personal life easier. To make this determination only major aspects the Moon makes in relation to the classical Planets and the Sun, are used.

What is a "voc. Moon".

Void-of-course is a time between the last major aspect the Moon makes with the Sun or a Planet, before entering the next Zodiac sign. The concept of " void of course", appears in the Hellenistic tradition, around the 1st Century CE.

Effect's of a "voc. Moon".

A void of course Moon is a good time to self-reflect and sort out things that have been piling up. For example, clean your desk, sort through paperwork, get to the bottom of things. Time to go inward.

New  business venture meetings, finalizing on contracts, buying or selling things

(besides your daily groceries) should be avoided under a voc. Moon.

Communication may be distorted..

Why not, the "Outer Planets".

The Outer Planets, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto,

are associated with generational influences.

This calendar is a practical tool for, the physical world around us.

How to use the voc. Moon

In the example Friday the 1st starts with a Virgo Moon then after a short voc. Moon from 05.32 until the Moon enters Libra at 06.42.

At 05.32 the Moon makes her last major aspect a trine with Mercury.  This last aspect determines the timing for the void of course Moon.

The color-codes changes at the time the Moon makes a last major aspect and when she enters the next Zodiac sign.

Each color represents an element the Moon is in that day.

Four elements colourcode:

Fire is                red

Earth is             green

Air is                  yellow

Water is            blue

V.C. Moon is    neutral

From left to right, each day starts at midnight 00.00.

The four elements:

The four basic elements fire, earth, air, water, corresponding to the twelve Zodiac signs are represented by a color code as shown below.

Fire       is of      Spirit          :  New Beginnings, Inspiration, Adventures.

Earth    is of      Matter       :  Tangible, Workable, Practical.

Air         is of      Mind          :  Communication, Thought processes, Intelligence.

Water   is of      Emotion    :  Caring, Feeling, Sensitivity.

Moon Phases and  Time zone.

Quote from William Lilly 1647

"A Planet is Void of Course when he is separated from a Planet. nor doth forthwith, during his being in that sign, apply to any other. This is most usually in the Moon: in judgments do you carefully observe whether she be Void of Course yea or no; you shall seldom see a business go handsomely forward when she is so.

William Lilly; Christian Astrology 1647.

Gardening with the Moon

When gardening, it's good to understand the influence of the Moon. There are several systems. The system used here is a simple and effective one. Keep in mind, it's best not to plant during a void of course.

When the Moon travels through a Fire Sign,

it's best for fruits, nuts, and seeds.

Earth signs are best for roots.

Air signs are best for flowers,

and Water signs are best for leaves.

This is based on the works of Maria Thun

1922-2012, the founder and preserver of the Biodynamic agriculture.
